The last year Team winner competition is back on Guide World Classic Tour to defend their supremacy on the summer series. A new arrival in the long distance world make his entry on this summer. It is the Rustad composed by former Leaseplan Go athletes and a World Cup multi-victories athlete. Discover who they are below!
Team Santander is certainly the most prolific team acting on the long distance circuits for several years now. Always eager to stay on the top of the hierarchy, their top profile athletes will once again play the first position on every stage. Magnar Dalen, Santander team Manager explain what would be the objectives of his group on the second edition of Guide World Classic Tour: ” The whole team is looking forward to start the summer season. For us rollerskiing races are the best quality of training for what is coming in the upcoming winter season. We hope to figure well on every stages, we will be fighting for victories and hope to end the summer with some of the distinctives bibs on our shoulders.”
Last year, Andreas Nygaard finished at the third position of the Tour with the same amount of points than the two Champion bib winner, his position had been settle regarding the best positions of the athletes on the different events. He will be certainly looking for the final victories on this new edition! Be ready to follow the black and red athletes on the Guide WCT summer roads!

Created after the disparition of the great Team Leaseplan Go, Team Rustad is composed by the former Norwegians team members Torgeir Skare Thygesen and Kjetil Hagtvedt Drammen. An other excellent athlete has join the team: Anders Gloeersen. The World Champion medalist in Falun in 2015 (gold in relay with Norway and bronze in the individual 15km freestyle) is strong of 15 WC podiums and 5 victories. He will be with no doubt an excellent asset to this newly born team.
Last year, Thygesen won the GWCT Sprint bibs after a long duel with Vegard Vinje and was ranked 6th on the Champion ranking. Drammen took an excellent 8th place on the overall ranking for the Champion bib. It will really interesting to see those athletes on the track on this new edition of Guide WCT. Keep an eyes on them this summer!

On the 2017 edition of Guide World Classic Tour, the teams and clubs aiming to compete for the team ranking and collect points have to be registered as a Guide WCT Team. Then, the team members (top single woman and and top two men on each stage) will collect individuals points on the CHAMPION and SPRINT ranking that will added to give the overall points of the team. At the end of the season, the best Team will receive 20% of the overall Guide WCT prize money: 6000 euros!
