World Classic Tour launched for a second season!

Guide World Classic Tour

A new sponsors title!

World Classic Tour is back this summer with some exciting news after a successful first edition ran in 2016. Firstly, World Classic Tour is celebrating an important new partnership with Guide’s brand who is becoming the Title Sponsor for the 2017’s Guide World Classic Tour and the three following editions (2018, 2019)! This premium partnership with Guide, a leader specialist in the conception of innovative protective gloves for workers in a broad range of industries, will propel the series to a new level.

Daniel Tynell, Guide World Classic Tour CEO comments this major news:

I am extremely pleased with this new partnership with Guide, a brand who shares the same values and ambitions than World Classic Tour. Our common goals are to promote and develop our sport by offering a larger visibility to the best athletes but also to rising stars. We are looking forward to start this new season, and see hundreds of amateurs along elite athletes on the start line of the Guide World Classic Tour’s events. Summer is coming, prepare your rollerskis for a great and unique spectacle on the Guide World Classic Tour roads!

Anders Selvander, Guide Brands Marketing Manager explains the brand interest in the series:

Guide’s brand stands for innovation, passionate commitment and a strong desire to get ahead and think outside the box. Those are values that we certainly share with the team behind World Classic Tour. This is motivating us even more to be involved and contribute to this exciting event. Guide World Classic Tour gives the opportunity to people to gather, move and have fun together around a sport in expansion. That’s for sure something that we clearly want to be part of.

Guide World Classic Tour goes to Italy!

The development of the Tour will be strengthened by the entry of a fourth event in the calendar. Fiemme Rollerski Cup event will bring Guide World Classic Tour in one of the world most mythical cross-country skiing areas: Val di Fiemme. Indeed, the Italian valley witnesses in the past some of the most thrilling episodes of the ski history by hosting three World Championships, several World Cup and the legendary Marcialonga. The track will follow long portions of the Marcialonga and will end on a spectacular finish: the arduous and grandiose Alpe Cermis climb which is certainly one of the toughest and most exciting stage of the winter Tour de Ski.

Daniel Tynell is delighted with the entry of a Fiemme Rollerski Cup in Guide WCT:

– The arrival of a new event in the series in an area rich of a long ski history marks one step forward in the development of Guide World Classic Tour out of the Scandinavian boundaries. Strong of their huge experience in the organisation of world-class events, Fiemme Rollerski Cup will with any doubt offer this summer an exceptional spectacle and great experience for both elite and amateur skiers.
