Guide WCT Stage 2 – Blink Classics in 10 days

One of the summer highlight is about to start in 10 days in Norway with Blink Classics! An astonishing start list and a beautiful track will offer us without any doubt an epic battle between the world strongest skiers!

Cross this date on your agenda! The 26th of July at 18:00 will take place the second stage of Guide World Classic Tour in Ålgard to reach Sandnes after a 60 km long trip across mountains and lakes. This year again, the top world athletes in both cross-country skiing and long distance will be gathered on the start line. Among them the previous edition winner and colourful Petter Northug. Will the Norwegian skier be able to take once again the victory in Sandnes centre? Be sure that the three Lahti World Champion medalists –  Sundby, Niskanen and Ustiugov will be there to claim the victory! But this is not all, the Guide World Classic Tour Champion leader Morten Eide Pedersen (Team BN BANK) will be a serious client for the victory and will certainly aim to strengthen is leader position. Amongst the top best long distance skiers, Andreas Nygaard and Anders Aukland (Team Santander), Simen Østensen and Øystein Pettersen, Anders Mølmen Høst (Team Serneke) will be watched! The Sprint bib holder Stian Hoelgaard, will be racing home, an extra motivation that could propel him on the podium!

Regarding the women race, Blink Classics will offer an exciting confrontation between the long distance specialists as Astrid Øyre Slind (Team United Bakeries), Leila Kveli (Team Tynell), Kari Vikhagen Geitnes (Team Santander) and Maria Gräfnings (Team Robinson Trainer) and the World Cup skiers from Germany – Bøhler, Fessel, Ringwald… and Bielorussia- Seronosova and Tikhonova. The last year winner Britta Johansson Norgren will not take part to the event this year either as the Guide WCT Champion leader Justyna Kowalczik. Their absences will leave open the door to those girls to take some important points in the Guide World Classic Tour ranking!
